Type SM High Voltage Mica Capacitor

The type SM capacitor is a high voltage dielectric device that incorporates the excellent electrical characteristics of a fabricated mica dielectric with a resin impregnation to achieve exceptional reliability at temperatures in excess of 150° C. The standard type SM is housed in a polyester tape wrap with epoxy end seals. The standard unit is supplied with #18 or #20 AWG tinned copper axial wire leads. All SM capacitors are manufactured in the USA using high quality materials and tested to meet ISO 9001:2015 standards.

The SN Series delivers the same high voltage performance and durability as our standard SM mica capacitors, but in a rugged potted enclosure for enhanced protection. These units are ideal for demanding environments where mechanical integrity, moisture resistance, and thermal stability are critical. Designed and built in the USA using high quality dielectric materials, the SN Series supports applications across military, aerospace, and commercial sectors, and is tested to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
